Body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), which is commonly known as body dysmorphia, is a mental health condition that causes a person to spend an unhealthy amount of time worrying and obsessing about how they look.

Body dysmorphic disorder, also known as body dysmorphia, can be an incredibly difficult condition to live with. It can affect your psychological, social and physical health, and can negatively affect your relationships. If it’s left untreated, it can continue to worsen and can have a very large negative effect on your quality of life.

If you are unable to speak to a health professional, you can try speaking to a trusted family member or friend about your symptoms to see if they can support you whilst you look for professional help.
